I’m a mechanical engineer who takes hardware from concept to production: requirements, 3D CAD, simulation, prototype, test, and a design that is genuinely manufacturable. What I enjoy most is owning a subsystem end to end, and that rarely stops at the mechanics. I’m just as comfortable with the electronics and the control software around it, from wiring up drivers and sensors to writing the code that makes the machine run.
Today I work in R&D at Filics, a Munich robotics startup, on drive technology and test systems. I hold a B.Sc. in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Stuttgart; my bachelor’s thesis, written with Fraunhofer IAO and the ISW and graded 1.3, is documented here. My toolkit runs from CAD, FEM, CFD and generative design through additive and conventional manufacturing to Python, embedded control, and hands-on shop and lab work.
